Dave Kelly's fabulous marinated chicken was enough to make the 2^nd annual Men's Day at Tabor House a success. The event, on Saturday, July 23, also featured an enlightening talk by guest speaker Tony Rivera, a social-services case manager in Springfield who is a close friend of Kelly, case manager at Tabor House. Both are celebrating 16 years clean this year.

The 17th Annual GIANT Tag Sale July 14-16 netted $16,000 for Tabor House, a drop from last year, but still a good result.

Two college students from Indiana are traveling from Maine to Georgia doing good deeds for charitable organizations. Thanks to them, a Tabor House kitchen got a fresh coat of paint. Read a story about it from the Hartford News.

David Dyson, the extraordinary volunteer who runs Tabor House's annual Giant Tag Sale, has won recognition in a national contest. And he's donating his $1,000 prize to Tabor House.

     Tabor House celebrated its 20^th year of providing a home to men with HIV/AIDS with a gala Sept. 11 at the Pond House Café in Elizabeth Park. Nearly 100 people attended the dinner, with ticket revenue and silent auction receipts netting $6,700 for the two houses in Hartford's South End.
